Happy Anniversary

I didn't realize it, but November 11th marked my first anniversary of blogging. Has a year gone by already? I look back at my situation a year ago, and indeed I'm grateful that things are a little better these days. We're slowly making a comeback. I'll admit, I was scared out of my mind about losing our home and everything else we had worked for in out 10 years. But here we are, a year later. I have to say it's made me stronger. When you look back and see where you've been and how far you've come, you have a lot more faith and strength to face the days ahead.

Some good things have come from it. I've gotten many new friends. I've written a novel. I've spent a whole lot more time talking to God about things. I don't take things for granted like electricity and gasoline--and family. In short, I've done some stretching and growing. But I've got a long way to go.

If you're new here and have no idea what I'm talking about, just take a peek back at some of last year's posts. The last 12 months have been stressful to say the least. But for everything and every person we lost, God has brought something new and beautiful back into our lives. And sometimes it's not people or things He gives you back...sometimes it's a testimony. I want to thank Him publicly. He's never left my side.

Hooray! I get to be the first to wish you a Happy Bloggity Anniversary! Yes, blogging is such a gift....a gift of making new friends, a gift of review to see how we have been carried through the good times and the bad. I am so thankful that you began blogging, that you found Gordie's Update Blog, and that we were able to connect in cybersphere~! Keep writing my friend! How exciting to include in your brief review, "I wrote a novel." Can you even believe it!?!

Congratulations.

Diane

Hi Cindy,
As my family would say, "Who'd have "thunk" it??"

My family & I were in a similar situation. My hubbie lost his job last July and at times, it seems like it was longer while other times, it seems like yesterday. We've seen much hardship over the past year--financially and emotionally.

But...GOD IS GOOD! He has never left our side. Although we have had a rough time, I am confident that God is in charge and is looking over us!

What a year! We went from my hubbie on the road for THREE wks at a time with only two days home and then start again. Now he has a better job and is home every weekend and occasionally one time during the week...what a change! We are rebounding financially as well (that's pretty good when putting our dau thru school as well)

Although I've been treated for depression, I knew I was being watched over, but chemicals in the brain were a little messed up.

Thanks for reminding me how far we've come and I'm so glad to hear that you are doing better as well. It's nice to see your faith and strength shining through the rain!

Take care, my blogger pal and forgive me for being so distant of late...I've commented on my blog, my poor excuses ;)
