Sometimes life hands you lemons...and sometimes we get them because we planted a lemon tree in our backyard and then seem to be surprised at the fruit that it bears. I've planted my share of lemon trees. Sometimes you cannot even hope for lemonade from the sour mess you've made. You know how lemon juice burns in a cut or when you've gotten it on your hands or rubbed your eyes? I do too. You can bet I will be more careful about the seeds I sow in the future. It is one thing when you live in Florida where citrus is expected and even flourishes. But when you're in cotton country, you're better off knowing how to take a flour sack and make a dress to cover your nakedness when you have shown your behind...
